MY EXPERIENCE
I'm Morven Lindsay, a chef from Edinburgh, now living in Valencia. I have a lifetime of professional cooking experience, starting working in restaurants at 13 years old. I arrived in Spain when I was 21 and completely fell in love with everything Spanish. I've lived and travelled all over Spain tasting the delicious and varied cuisine from the many provinces and admiring the produce, landscapes, history and architecture. I have previously settled in Andalucia, Alicante region and the Balearics, I spent 16 years living and working in Ibiza whilst also travelling to other countries to practise cooking in every style.

Over the years I've had a very interesting career in Spain and the UK, working in restaurants, creating pop up events, catering for weddings, photo and film shoots, retreats and events in stunning locations. I have had the pleasure of working with many well known clients.
​
I moved back to Edinburgh in 2008 where I stayed for 14 years, bringing up my son. I continued training as a chef, and working on product development and catering. I also started holding popular cooking experiences and hands on cooking workshops, teaching local cuisines and baking, this became my new cooking pleasure I love teaching cooking and my customers really enjoy these cooking experiences.

​Now I have moved back to Spain, to the centre of Valencia near both the spectacular Central Market and my local Ruzafa market. I have been researching local produce and recipes from the 'huerta', the gardens of Valencia, to create healthy sustainable dishes, I love creating innovative cuisine with the seasonal Mediterranean produce infusing it with the techniques and cooking styles I've learnt over the years and the new ones that I'm still learning. ​My work has always been based around the 0 kilometre concept and here in Valencia that is the wonderful reality, being able to choose the local produce in the markets and from local suppliers means I can create the beautiful, creative and healthy cuisine that I love.
